The Acer Aspire AS1410-8414 is a 11.6″ laptop has the following features:
• 1.4GHz Intel Core2 Solo ULV SU3500 Processor
• 2GB RAM
• 250GB SATA Hard Drive
• Windows Vista Home Premium OS
• 6 Hour Battery Life
This model is very light, very solid, very quiet and of course very small. All the specs are somewhat better than netbook class for not much more than a netbook cost. I had to invest a lot more to get a certainly superior system. The keyboard was superior, wireless connections were strong, the screen was bright, the battery life was perhaps not six hours but very long.
On the AS1410, performance is great, there are no compromises and it is a delight to work on even for a full day. The 1410 is marketed as a Notebook instead of a Netbook since operating system and the processor it ships with.

AS1410-8414 Design:
The Acer Aspire AS1410-8414 11.6-inch laptop sports the incredibly stylish design of the Acer Aspire One netbook. It comes in a selection of colors, but the Sapphire Blue model looks remarkably stylish. The dimensions are 11.2 x 8 x 1.2 inches and weigh is just 3.1 pounds. It has a sleeky external casing and they keyboard is very properly laid out. Its track pad even has multi- touch motions, similar to those located on Apple laptops.
AS1410-8414 Features & Performance:
The 1.4Ghz processor is astonishingly powerful. After some study I discovered that the Intel Core 2 ULV SU3500 is much more dominant than the Atom processor found on netbooks. We had no troubles multi-tasking and running reasonably ‘heavy’ applications. Thanks to the 2GB RAM the Windows Vista OS on this machine runs extremely well. The battery lifetime was also very striking, lasting up to 6 hours on a solitary charge. At the time of writing this article, the retail price of this model was around just $427 each.
