Gateway UC-7807U 13.3-Inch Silver Laptop

This trendy new laptop is priced at $689 though it looks a lot expensive. This 13 inch laptop is slightly on the heavier side. It weighs 6 pounds. This is a drawback considering that there are many other lighter models available in the markets today. Don’t let the weight deter you from going in for this laptop though. It compromises the weight with several other features like good performance, wireless technology and more.

The Gateway UC-7807U  laptop comes in a chassis with a sleek aluminum finish. The 13.3 inch screen comes with a highly glossy finish. This does not interfere with picture viewing though. You won’t have trouble with reflections and light glaring off the screen. As a matter of fact, the display offers versatile viewing angles. The screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Images are clear and bright enough although not as bright as the ones on HP Pavilion dv3510nr.

The Gateway UC-7807U sports an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 Mobile CPU with 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB and 2MB L2 cache. It also has a 3GB RAM. This means that although performance is not the best, it is sufficient for most business and entertainment needs. You cannot expect superb high end gaming performance. It only has Intel’s gimpy integrated GPU. This laptop is just average when it comes to running heavy duty tasks or entertainment.

Gateway UC-7807U laptop also has features like a double layer SuperMulti drive, mobile graphics acceleration, next generation wireless technology and in built web camera.

One disappointing fact about Gateway UC-7807U laptop is that the battery time is rather short. It lasts 3 hours and 36 minutes. Although this is a reasonable battery life, it is a definite drawback considering the fact that there are laptops which offer up to 8 hours of battery life in the markets today.

In conclusion, the Gateway UC-7807U is a good, affordable and power packed laptop. It is right for anyone ranging from the business executive to the ordinary user.
