The Compaq Presario CQ60-420 is one cool laptop. Great features and nice style combine to make this one of the best in the market.

The CQ60-420 is actually an updated version of the older CQ60. The lay out and functionality are the same except for the fact that the system has better performance and many more new features.
With a sleek style and thin lines, the Compaq Presario CQ60-420 is style redefined. It comes with a glossy black case which is much more elegant and durable than the plain painted ones. The touchpad and palm rest is done in silver, contrasting nicely with the black body. If you prefer to use the mouse, there is a tiny button which disables the touchpad. The keyboard is simple and easy to use with a dedicated number pad.
The CQ60-420 uses the Intel Pentium T4200 2Ghz processor. This means that in terms of performance, it is quite good.
There is a High Definition HP BrightView 1366 *768 resolution display which gives you clear crisp images and vivid colors. The 15 inch display combined with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M and SuperMulti 8X DVD R/RW with LightScribe and Double Layer support ensures that users get images of the best quality. Watching movies, images and web pages on this display is a treat.
The Operating System used in this laptop is the Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit edition. The system has good memory capacity too. It has 3GB of DDR2 RAM which can be expanded to a whopping 4GB.
This laptop is a little disappointing in terms of peripheral connectors though. There is a 5-in-one card reader and three UDB 2.0 ports and an external monitor connector. Unfortunately, the USB 2.0 ports are not up to the mark and there is no HDMI port which permits the system to be connected to a HDTV screen. This means that you cannot enjoy files from your laptop on your high definition television. There are no PC card or Express Card slots either. You can expect to receive a 10/100 Ethernet jack and modem jack with the laptop. These are standard issue.
The CQ60-420 is quite affordable, being priced at $529. Of course there are other laptops in the market which gives you all these features with god peripheral connectors. But, if you are someone who needs a good and powerful laptop without the frills, this one will work fine for you.
